New York Fashion week

This was my favorite show of Brazilian designer Alexandre Herchcovitch, with Russian references(Sergei Paradjanov), the clothes were luxurious without being too ostentatious, the silhouette in some of the pieces gave me hope, that one day I could fit in one his main show creations. Sophia Lamar(red head piece,see photo) was also very excited about it.

If "Dawn" (Jessica Lange) would have worn anything from The Blonds Fall 2010 collection in the King Kong movie, maybe the movie would have had a different ending ...meaning that the monkey would have made sure that anything she wore would have been untouchable still, since they were so gorgeous.It was a show that included performance, drama and beautiful clothes. Phillipe Blond first look in the show was a monkey suit, once the suit came down, Phillipe stood there looking so stunning, bringing down the house to its knees...a beautiful and clever entrance that was followed by several dresses and corsets perfectly made and exquisite shoes & jewelry. I want them all !

The Paradise Garage Collection Exhibit event was absolutely a superb New York party thrown by Patricia Field and The Keith Haring foundation. It was hosted by Susanne Bartsch and Kenny Kenny which gave the final bridge into all the right elements of an unforgettable successful night: art, fashion, music, beautiful people .... it was a fabulous chaos and I loved it. You can check some of the moments of the party in the video below.

alexander mcquEEn was the real king !

Alexander McQueen is dead at age 40. It has been said that the loss of his mother, who passed away few days earlier, had left the designer extremely depressed; it is believed that he hanged himself in his luxury flat in Green Park(Central London), where he was found. It is very sad, however I like to be positive and believe that he once again had the last word in his brilliant life. Who knows what makes one give up such successful life where glamour, recognition, respect are craved so intensively by those less talented and original. I don't know, do you? He never cared for that aspect of the industry, he was a designer who was always true to his vision. Alexander was a genius, and we followed him in his fashion adventure and we were enchanted by him. We truly loved him !

I can only hope that Isabella will throw a fierce party in the ballrooms of Heaven to welcome him.
